There are apparently extra parts to repair the flawed Panzer IV/E.. a new marketing strategy for people to buy both kits

Not a ploy, just Dragon doing what they do and I like it. I don't think people are going to run out and buy this kit just so they can fix their E. They will buy it so they can have the D with the parts to fix the E as a bonus. I am suprised that there are people who still find fault with Dragon for fixing accuracy issues in their kits. I just wish that they would make some kind of notation on their packaging to let you know if you have a corrected version or not without having to open it.

I agree! I have not started my 2 E’s and have 2 D’s on order. Now I will wait to build the E’s until I get my D’s.
I do agree that they should post it somewhere. Maybe on their website for instance.

Also, I can't wait for all the opportunities that the extra parts will offer...since I 'scraped' an E that I have, I can probably use it with one of my F-1/F-2 kits to make something real cool (with some various, required modifications of course ;) )...I can use a Tristar suspension system (saving the DML one for that extra DML hull lol), that Armorscale F-2 barrell......
(oh, the possibilities  )
