I've got three things going and close to completion at the moment:
1) I'm building a new gun truck miniature.
2) I'm converting the AFV Club M18 HellCat into the M39 Armored Utility Vehicle.
3) I'm building a lot of custom parts and details for fleshing out Polar Lights' Jupiter 2 Spaceship.

I think it's because information is a little hard to come by. It took me some time to gather enough photos and the technical manual to feel comfortable making the conversion attempt. Plus, it's a little known vehicle and I'm sure small cottage industry producers would be wary of returns on producing a conversion kit too.

Actually I have several 'scratch' projects going at the moment.
I have already started my 'LuLu' project. This is a seldom seen and not well known mineroller variant of the Sherman.
I am also working on a rather unique version of the Australian Chevy CMP as a mobile crane.
Another more long-term project is a HEMTT-based truck sporting Mattrack's.
I have several more that are 'floating' around, but these three have been taking their turns in the 'batter's box'.

Hi all.
I'm doing a railwagon and back dating a Tiger I (shut up as I know it's not allied :( ).
I wish I could spend more time on it but I have/have had/ opaque spots on the corneas of both eyes that is giving me no end of grief.
I'm not looking for tears but it is like someone's finger prints on the lens of your glasses and it makes it damb hard to see sometimes (I use FML or "Fluorometholone" drops from time to time).

Howdy steve,
Man....that must be extremely annoying (to say the least, right?).
Hope you feel better soon. From the looks of your work (checked out your photos), you are doing a bang-up job of overcoming your 'challenge'.
Good on ya!

"Man....that must be extremely annoying (to say the least, right?)."
Hey Tread which bit is "extremely annoying"? The no-allied bit or the constant fight to see with the use of corticosteroids (3 times in 5 months this time)?
Don't worry Tread I know exactly what you ment and thanks for the thought :thumb: .
I wish you boys would link some in-progress stuff for me to look at as this is the best bit of the hobby to me. Axis or Allied makes no diff to me as I can see the detail in anything and some of you blow me away with what you can do with plasic sheet and strips :) .

I am building a M-52 five ton tractor and a M-131A1 5000 gallon fuel tanker. It is made up of a combination of the Italeri M-925 series truck for the Cab chassis and wood and plastic stock by Evergreen. The cab is made from home cast resin from a modified M-35 A1 cab. I just completed another Gun Truck, the Playboys circa 1971.

Howdy!
Currently I'm scratchbuiliding:
- an Australian T50 turret conversion for the M113 with complete interior & turret basket
- the bits to convert the Bandai M4A3 VVSS to an HVSS including an updated lower hull and the running gear and return rollers.
- an accurate Ram OP from the horrible remains of a Resicast Ram Kangaroo, an H&K Ram and a pile of putty and styrene.
There are pictures of the Ram OP and the 1/48 stuff ni the Track Link BLOG section.

Well, for scratching, I've got a British WWI 6-Inch mortar underway. Just got the tube turned down in brass.
And for a conversion, I'm turning MR Models's M121 120mm mortar into an M120 towed variant. (Different bipod)
Both are on hold as I'm (still) working on the RPM WWI Ford Model A truck.

Hi,
nothing major scratchuilding at the moment but some smaller thingies:
1. Lead foil fenders to Tamiya 251. Yes, I'm building it even with newcomers around  Well, too much invested in that to be left in the box: RM detail set, Part floors, Anvil tracks, Eduard PE.
2. Converting Revell Tiger II to Feb'44. Includes some SB, nothing big;)
See ya,

Adding bit 'n pieces to a 'well, moulding and fit could better' kit ;)
The ZIS-30 from Maquette. Have added the rear plate from styrene, and will add new fender, new fighting platform folding flaps. Hopefully some more detailing to the gun, but that's quite a sound bit of plastic compared to the rest.

Hey Fenando that is one awesome build. Way too cool.
Well, I'm working on a partly scratchbuild model; roughly 90% scratchbuilt. It's the M1075. Almost done. At the moment I'm working on the interior. Damn, lot's of work there, especially when I had to reconstruct the enterior but it's getting there. :)
Hi Guys,
I am planning to scratchbuild a streetcar from the tramway in Budapest for a Diorama to go together with my Hummel.
While I have some photos of it:

And:

I am still looking for scale drawings, drawings or even only measurements of this specific streetcar. Does anyone have anything or can anyone help where to get it?
-Ambjoern
Hi Ambjoern,
I don't have the scale drawing...but, I remembered "Custom Dioramics" has a nice Streetcar...with came with fully detailed...it contained complete planked interior, drivers cabs, passenger seats and pantograph.

Hello
I'm new on this forum.
I'm scratchuilding 1/48 VBL M.10 & M.11, a conversion on AMR35 8cm Granatweffer ( still 1/48 ), 2 motorcycles : 1/35 oural Irbit & 1/35 Type 97 Kurogane with side car.
I'm finishing masters of French HT Citroen Kegresse C4P17 & C6P19 (1/48) , conversion M2A1 & M5 for Corgi HTM3A1(1/50)
And for the last, i'm on 24 1/48 figures:
6 GI seated WWII,
3German AK for Flak ,
3 German Soldiers for Flak ( winter ),
3 French Soldiers for Flak,
6 French Soldier seated for French HT Kegresse
3 Drivers for HT Kegresse
All legs are finished , 14 busts to,
I have so many heads that it's not a problem (more than 400 differents...)

I hope all will be ended for Mid May, before if i can
Best regards
Marc

Just to contribute a little more.. I am scratchbuilding the SDKFz 6 with the Russian 76.2mm gun.. the "Diana" as used in North Africa.
Interesting.. having to narrow off the entire Tamiya SdKfz 7 kit by 3 mm width
Will post some pics when the VBench arrives :)

Diana Top View (http://home.iprimus.com.au/brianth/btgallery/diana_1_1.jpg)
Whilst not totally scratchbuilt the conversion from an Sdkfz 7 to an Sdkfz 6 was challenging enough

I'm trying to bash a VP resin hull, Academy lower hull, Italeri engine deck and a turret (still need to get one) together in order to make an M4A1. Sure, could have followed an easier path by buying the DML kit. But this was what I had lying here. And it'll probably give me some good experience (and skills) in scratch building. The M4A1 rear end needs the most work, with front, tools, etc details added.

Larry,
The 76mm turret is not useful, as it was never fitted to the M4A1 dry (ie, small hatch). Besides, I'm making Miss Dot, a M4A1 shown in US Tank Battles in Italy. This has a low bustle 75mm turret. I think the Tamiya turret is a high bustle? If so, it will be a lot of work to convert. So thanks for the offer, but no, I have no real use for them.
But thanks again.

I'm undertaking a 1/35 Australian-made S-1 Scout Car, made for American forces in the Far East. They used them for airfield security and handed them back to the Aussies in '44. It's based on a Ford CMP chassis. Has a similar layout to the M3 White scout cars.
