Now my buddies would say that I suffer from short term memory loss, but as I can recall we have not had a group build at this site. Now hear me out here though....
All the sites have'em (group builds), pick a genre, tank, blah blah blah. About 10% of those that enter finish. And let's be honest, how many of us need to start another model? I will be honest for all of us....zero!!!!!! Especially Sammy!!!!
So here is my proposal: we do our first group build here at the World of Armor and the theme is - finish an old project! No digging out new kits, AM crap, etc. We dig out an old kit and we finish the darn thing. Simple. Easy. No one can say they don't like the subject....all I have to do is glance down the vBench forum and see a million entries!!!!
So let's hear what you guys think. Can we do this??

I hate group builds. Lots of peple say they will do it but usually only one or two people do it in the end. No one ever finishes them. Sorry Stuke but you can count me out on these "group builds". Too busy pursuing my own line of inquiry. Besides working on and finishing the bunch of not finished kits that I have is my plan for the year to come.

:) i DON'T MIND EITHER WAY.
I have a few I have to finish and this might be one way of doing it! I will do them anyway but could be a bit of PA community fun. I'll give it a go if others will. ;)

How about a panther group build
I'm not really one to join in, sort of like to go my own way. I think it's the artist in us James. ;)
But y'all have fun and I'll watch from over there.......

I'm one of those losers that gets all fired up about a group build and never comes through. So far, I have participated in 6 group builds on 2 different forums and finished 1. I have mixed feelings as a result - I gotta have outside stimulation and if other participants are like me and have "lives", get distracted easily, can't handle the pressure of deadlines, etc. they probably won't finish either. Finishing an old abandoned project seems feasible though... ;)

You bet. I've participated in many, and enjoy them. Go for it (and good luck :)

I unfortunatly cannot participate, I only have one really started but not finished kit (note here less than 10 years old!) and I do work on it is spurts, but as Its a scratch build interior project, I just don't want to be "under the gun".
Cheers and have fun, I WILL be watching though!

I think that could be a fun thing to do, depending on the kit that is.
My finnishing status in group builds is 50% within deadline and 67% totaly. ;)

Yep I'm up for it Stuke. I'm entering a 50% Stupa.....or maybe a Pz.IV - three of them....or maybe five Panthers....two Tigers ad infinitum :)
Seriously, yep and the Stupa for me.
Also got to put my hand up and admit I tried one 'modern' group build and though willing, I just didn't get all the stuff I wanted to finish it to my satisfaction.

Stuke, count me in. I like the idea of "finish a project"-group build :) Is there a dead line and do I have to say my GB in before hand?

I have to many business trips and appointments coming up in the next couple of months. I hope I can make when the next group build comes up :)

Gee, isn't that the "theme" of the group build I proposed??
I think there is enough interest to do it. I'm not big on deadlines, or at least aggressive deadlines. What do you guys think?
I propose end of August or so? Also I can start a thread in the General group that those who have decided to join can post a few shots of progress now and then.
Ha...let's kick it off on Valentines Day.....the worst holiday ever.
