I'm new here and I see a few folks logged in - just wondering if there is something I'm missing here as there does not seem to be much going on. Please do not take that as an insult as I have "lurked" around here for awhile and have arrived at my own conclusion before joining that this particular site was pretty straight forward - that being mostly "this is what I'm building - comment if you like" which is fine w/me. :) There need not be any superfluous activity.

I also want to make sure I followed proper protocol by sending a PM to "Gordy" in requesting a VBench. You guys need something to offset the current works I see so you have something to laugh at from time to time.

thanks, Alex Hodges

Welcome aboard man! Great to have another modeller with us. Yeah, sometimes there's not too much going on. A few of the guys update their V-benches regulary, others do so when they've got the time. I myself have no digital camera at the moment, so no pics from me. Feel free to jump into any discussions, and I look forward to seeing your work. I bet Gordy or someone will get a vbench set up for you shortly. What's your thing? Allied? Axis? Modern?

I guess Axis - going by the fact that all except about 5 of my kits are Axis. I like Allied though - I tried Modern as a change of pace whilst having participated in another site's group build and just really didn't care for it all that much - it was a Tamiya M1 Abrams... I never finished it. :(

oh & Hello all :)

Welcome to the site and congratulations for being brave enough to come out of the shadows ;) . You are not alone in being a lurker. It seems to be the stance of most visitors to the site. I'm sure more will pop their heads up once they see this to be a legitimate web site where people interested in armour model building can come together and share in their knowledge, skill and fun of tank modeling. This includes all aspects of this hobby. But yes the vBench is a neat, fast, and flexible way for an individual to share his actual model building projects without having to depend on the whims of some site webmaster or Gallery committee. The vBench is like your own personal little webspace to do with as you like, within the rules of the site. So "tuck in" and have at 'er, mate. Let's see what you are up to?

Welcome to PA Alex!

I've noticed that the site is actually starting to "pick" up a little and we are starting to see more and more quality work from new members. I look forward to seeing you post when you get your vBench set up!
