:( James,
It was a great photo but it has dissapeared? Image is no longer showing. Can you fix please so that I can save a copy. :)

;) Forget what I said , it's back. yes interesting.................

The long barrel Stug in the next photo is curious as well..... retro field fit? Hard to tell whether it is an F version [proably as it looks like it has the rectangular side armour, but it has an earlier model drive spocket. Can anyone pick what it is? Willy?

Nice shots James.

Very pertinent to this site at the moment. ;)

Hilly, the long barrel is just a run of the mill Stug III F, note the Notec convoy light on the light on the left front fender.

What's more interesting is Stug 221 (a "C" I think) has the Notec light mounted in the middle of the hull....not seen until the F8.....or at least I cant remember seeing that feature on anything prior to an F8.

Willy.

Thanks Willy.
The Notek musy be a 'retro upgrade'.
:o The F is still running drive wheels from a mk3 h or earlier though. Even the other shots of the earlier stugs arn't running drive wheels this early - field 'downgrade' looks like.

The sprockets may have been changed.....who knows why. I zoomed in and darkened that shot, you can make out the corner of the radio box fitted to the E? onwards, so I'm still going for an F (with early sprockets). :)

Willy.
