What kind of reference do you need exactly? Do you want to do a IV C in some other place/unit, outside of what's in the box?
I am going to presented my PzIV C in 1 Panzer Division at France 1940 ;)
I would like to reseached the Pz IV C line drawing and some war time photoes of PzIV C in France...any reference book you are recommended...or any pictures you can share ;)
Here we go... ;)
Step 1 Road Wheel Assembly
Here is the scan of Tristar's instruction sheet

Here is the completed shot

Here is the closed up shot...noted the correct spelling of "CONTINENTAL" ;)

Step 2 Suspension Assembly - Each 4 per side...

Step 4 Drive Housing Assembly
Here is the scan of Tristar's instruction sheet
http://www.kitpic.com/is.php?i=21821&img=Tri-PzIV-C-10.j.jpg
I cutted off the bolts very carefully from the sprue...and then droped a small Tamiya EXTRA THIN cement onto the recess area...and then use a Tweezers to managed the bolt in position.

Looks good so far. Did they correct the engine deck hinges on the C?
I have no idea...because I cannot found any pictures or drawing from my refernce book - Achtung Panzer :( what is the error on the engine deck hinge?
Step 5 Chassis assembly
I have jumped onto the Chassis assembly...to let the glue dry enough..when I glud the Suspension onto the Chassis later...

I believe I saw a post at ML that it had been remedied.
Maybe something in here

This is from the Perth Site.
The engine deck doors are both separate with more excellent flush screw head and latch details as well as a separate grab handle and the hatch hinges have the correct orientation but the fit of the engine deck doors will need some very minor trimming to get a precise fit but nothing excessive. The rear sections of fenders are also separate parts with excellent tread plate pattern and separate fender extensions and tail lights.
Step 6 Bolts and Nuts details on the Bottom of the Chassis

Nice job Marco,
It looks like it goes together pretty well? I have the suspension set only, to use probably on a dml IV J. The wheels rubber part in mine needed to be trimmed to fit did you find that in your kit?
Larry

Yes, same probelm...but it is easy to fixed them...just used the sand paper to trimmed the wheels rubber part line....it fixed very well...

I thought that they would have added some more details to the interior (like the turntable texture or something) :(
Excellent build though!
Can I ask, how did the turret come together? On mine, though all the parts are supposed to be the same, I had a funny fit (little gaps that were rather noticable).

What do you think about the pattern on the fenders, Marco ?
Most found it inedequate on the Pz IV D and replaced the fenders with ABER ones.
Do you have any information it might be OK for the ausf C ?

Thanks for your answer and pictures. The fenders sure look clean but the dotted pattern itself is puzzling
I refer to the following post by R.C. Hill
http://www.planetarmor.com/forums/index.ph...findpost&p=5905 (http://www.planetarmor.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=1140&view=findpost&p=5905)
May be I am too picky but I started also to build this nice detailed kit and would like to fix early this problem, if any. To have it finished knowing afterwards that the fenders are wrong would be very frustrating. Same for you. I noticed that both James Edward and R.C. Hill replaced their ausf D fenders by ABER and DML ausf E ones respectively.
I desperately looked for reference pictures but didn't find any on this particular subject.
Friendly yours

I think you can see in these pictures that the pattern in the C's fenders has been corrected to look more like the barred pattern of the real thing.
Also I will be replacing the fenders on the Tristar D with Aber ones because the pattern is wrong.
The DML Panzer IV/E that I just finished has the kit's fenders.
The future Panzer IV/E from Dragon that I will build will have the Aber fenders not neccessarily due to accuracy issues- I just want to be more accurate with thickness/pattern/etc. and also I like to solder :)

Hi Dan,

Here is the instruction sheet for the NEW set (Early Version)...

Very interesting and inspiring work... much more taking into account that I bought one IV C!
I went to Tristar shop in HK, it was well stocked and had very nice prices comparing to Europe :)
Which would be the paint pattern?

Yep!!! I went there (Tristar shop) weekly...on Saturday ;)
I would like to present it service in #5 Panzer Division as per the front cover picture as Ground Power...see below picture...

However, I only got this picture...and it is NOT enough info...such as the unit mark...etc... :(
Then...I will go to #1 Panzer Division at France 1940, which follow the deco guide from Tristar's ;)

I may try one of 21. Panzer Division in Normandy...
But I am not worried for details for the moment as i have some models in stock
I think I could resist an atomic war in my bunker (houses in Switzerland were built with one in the past) but for Tamiya´s paint, which would be finished quickly...
How nice is Ground Power stuff? Is it wi¡orth a little more than a Concord book? I would pick them just for the drawings and pictures, and the small captation in English, but they are very difficult to find in Europe...
Regards and keep going!
Antonio
For that books...it contained the line drawings for Panzer IV A~D...and many war time pictures for reference...personally, I like the Ground Power than Concord's ;)
