Hi All

I don't really do AFVs (certainly not for 10 years or so), but finally braved the world of photo etch and individual tracks on this Dragon Ferdinand.

Tried to keep the references to a minimum, just the Allied-Axis book and a few web sites.

This is my first stab at photo etch, and certainly my first german piece;

Added some weld beads and recut the interlocking plates at the lower rear.

Comments welcome!
Plan to scatchbuild/convert some crew figures, that will be over on Planet Figure.

Thanks for the comments guys!

Will probably add some battle damage; the idea is to have it just returned from Kursk - a survivor! With a battle weary crew on it.

Now that sounds like a great idea! Do you have that pic? or a reference for it?

Yes... it is in "Armor Battles on the Eastern Front vol 2" by robert Michulec concord pbl. on page15 If you can't get that book then i'll try to scan picture somehow....also have some three cammo schemes (found somewhere on the net) but only from one side....if you need them i can upload them somewhere here.

Cheers

Hello Rob,

Looks good so far. If you're going to make him a Kursk survivor, then maybe some battle damage would enhance it.

The pe looks great. BTW is that a Jordio Rubio barrel?
