OK, here's one for ya. While working on the roadwheels on my Initial Tiger, I noticed that the innermost wheel on the last station will not go in. Why? Because I was stupid and glued the idler wheels in place early in construction! Anybody know a way to 'undo' glued joints?

Not 100% sure, but I want to say it was Testors tube glue. The stuff in the orange tube.

hello Evan , i would be tempted to carefully saw the offending Idler off at the joint with a razor saw . I would just take it real easy . I would then drill and pin the idler wheel back into position once the other wheels have been fitted . anoher option would be to saw ththrough the junction of the idler arm , but without havin g a tiger in front of me i can't picture which would be easier.
If the idler was only tacked on with asmall ammount of glue a fresh application of some liquid cement at the join may loosen it , I would be tempted to saw it .

Phil,
Thanks for the tip. That's similar to what I was thinking about doing. I think I could saw through the arm where it attaches to the hull to remove it. Then drill out the hole and idler arm, and insert a piece of evergreen rod, perhaps through one side of the hull and out the other to make some kind of 'axle' to reattach the idler arms to? But that's really a last resort. I might try putting some liquid cement around the joint, seeing if it will get in there and loosen it up first.
A case of failing to pay better attention to the instructions and lack of dry fitting, I had similar problems with the fit of the hull parts for the same reason. Oh well, if nothing else it can be a practice kit for the next one I do.
