They havn't used British Armour since the Centurion.

No, The current Canadian mount is the Leopard C2 (made by adding a modified Leopard 1A5 turret to the Canadian Leopard C1 hull which was basically a Leopard 1A3) although I hear they will be getting some Leopard 2A5s here shortly.
