got another sherman

hi all i picked up another sherman tank kit,
i got the late version kit #3522 from tamiya.
for 11 bucks u cant beat it

nice tazz now go to formationsmodels.com web site and pick up the sponson fillers and tool set or some of the other sweet detail sets....i bought some a while back and just loved the stuff they are well worth it and are a snap to add...if i count all the shemans i have, all variants i've got 19 kits...unbuilt and 5 built...by far its my favorite subjet... :o

While Formations sponson set is nice, if you want to save some money go over to Archer Fine Transfers (www.archertranfers.com). Under US Armor their is a file for Sherman fans that gives you a sponson pattern for cutting out your own from sheet styrene.

Got me another on too. Just won an Italeri Sherman Calliope from my local model club. Since I paid nearly full price $30 for the M4 Early and got this one free I guess I'm averaging $15 per Shermie.

I think it is OOP. I won this at my local model club and it was opened. Don't know how long it was on the other guy's shelf. I wasn't really interested in the Calliope at first because it was such a limited weapon but as I started building it I got more excited

I just might accidentally build a diorama around the Calliope. The Calliope was such a silly looking weapon I just never took an interest in buying one with so many other SHermies out there to buy. However since this one was a free prize that's a different story
