Note: A friend on another forum says he's always having
a hard time seeing my pics. Slow to load and sometimes not at all.
I'm trying to determine if it is just a problem on his side or mine.
Can you fellas let me know how these images load please? Thank you.

Now, on to the model...

I decided today to play with some filters and
washes and such and I needed a test model. I pulled
out the StuG IV since it had the same colors as my 234/1
that I'm going to have to tone down.

I'm also going to be building a StuG IV early shortly for
a review so I wanted to get familiar with the kit again.

Oh, and play with track sag since I have heard so much about
the tracks for this, the Nashorn and the Hornisse, none good. I
did not have a problem with the tracks personally. I shortened them
by 4 links and they worked fine.

Anyway, not the greatest, but it is nice to finish something that has
been in the hall of shame!

Cheers,
Donovan

Thanks! I used a product by Silfor out of Germany. First time I've used their stuff and I really like it. It is hard to do foliage that looks right in 1/72. They also have other colors so I plan on getting more for different seasons no doubt.

Cheers,
Christopher

Pics are fine. My only peeve with this model is that the muzzle brake hole seems small for a 75mm gun. But otherwise its still an awesome build.

Hey everyone, thanks for the comments and confirmation that my pics are actually OK in loading. :)

KingTiger, I checked one of my Aber barrels and you are totally right man. This is one of Dragon's pre-drilled barrels and though nice, I'm gonna have to make a little bigger.

Also added to the list are painting the scopes black and rewashing the front spare tracks to better define individual links. It is amazing the stuff you notice in pics that you don't see before isn't it?

Thanks for pointing that out to me.

Cheers,
Christopher
