OK, I'm a little biased because to me the 234 series are the
best looking all around coolest armored cars ever produced.

Plus I love the Hasegawa releases in this series. In fact I will
build them all no doubt about it.

So here is the 234 I started a few weeks ago, but have just
picked back up since I finished the MAUS.

The turret will be replaced with the better Roden example, but
the rest with be Hase.

OK time for Roden vs. Hasegawa.

I think the Roden is better overall but the real
reason for using the Roden turret will become clear
when I get to the anti-grenade screens :shifty:

One thing I wonder about is the radio on the
Hasegawa turret. Makes since but I wonder
why Roden doesn't have one? Could be the radio
was actually down in the vehicle? I mean they were
recon and had radios. Question is in the turret or not?

OK a little more:

Honestly I'm beginning to wonder why I post these though, no replies, either it's perfect and everyone's jaw is on the floor and they can't type, something's horribly wrong, or it's not an interesting vehicle in the wrong scale... ;)

Only kidding of course.

Injector marks on the top, easy enough to sand and still retain the bolt detail.

OK, silly putty mask, my new standard way for smale scale hard edge camo.

Finished camo base.

Vehicle with dry fit turret and wheels about ready to go on.

Hi Christopher,

Will you build the Hasegawa turret also? This way it becomes EXTREMELY clear (should you write a review)

Saśl

Oh it is built, actually goes together much easier than the Roden one for sure.

I will be sure to show it here wearthered as well. ;)

Hi,
sorry for late reply but hope it helps. Here is a pic of /1 turret. AS you can see there is a radio installed in turret. I guess there is another one inside also as there was often two antennas in 234/1.

Niko,

Many thanks for the turrent information this help and it isn't too late. It appears the best thing wold be a cross be tween Roden and Hasegawa turrets because the Hase seats look more correct as well.

It is very difficult to see either seat once the gun support and guns are in anyway, but the radio (or lack thereof) will be very visable.

Thanks again.

Cheers,
Donovan

I have similar set for 234/1 by Aber but for some reason I have lost the instructions!

I still can't believe you pack so much detail and finesse into something so small. Wonderful job thus far!!

OK, here the difference becomes very easy to spot :)

Not nearly as nice as the Aber stuff I guess, but good enough
for me.

BTW -- Obviously I've still got to filter, wash, weather, etc...just
wanted to make that clear, the only thing with a wash is the
Hase turret so it looks a little out of place.

First Hasegawa OOB

Now Roden with a couple mods

The screens are only test fit. I still have to add a radio
to the turret and perhaps a headset. Also the screens are
currently missing a support bar each until I find my guitar string.

Thanks for the screen Tim, the best is the brass, silk screen didn't
work so good as was a little large looking to me :thumb:
