This is how the diorama is supposed to look. I'm going to take some pics of different backgrounds. The snow is too drastic for this dio.

Thanks Edson,
For the snow effect I used Micro Balloons grains/powder. This material is supposed to be used for RC Model Airplanes. It gives a very nice effect and it doesn't yellow with age. I also airbrushed the snow along the road to give it that wheel splash look.

Hey Edson,
If your hobby shop caters to RC Model Airplanes it should stock Micro Balloons. That is the name for it. It is basically intenden to be used as a filler that can be mixed with resin or epoxy to fix dent or dings on RC Model Airplanes and it comes as white powder.

Manuel,
Thanks for the tip on the snow, that's a great dio.
Have you got a shot from above of the whole thing?

Great work but if I may...arent the tankers gonna look a bit summerlike dressed? it looks real cold and they are lightly dressed and relaxed. Id be corved and with hands in my pockets!! the tanks dont have any fresh mud too, with all that snow i bet they be much more messy and dirty.

Hi Alberto,
Thanks for the comments. And you're right, the tankers are a bit underdressed. In an earlier post I told "Panzerfaust" that I thought the background snow pics were too drastic. I couldn't find anything else with an 'early frost look' like I had in the first pic. And as for mud on the tanks, you would see more mud during the spring thaw than when the ground is starting to freeze in late autumn. I appreciate the comments tho, and I'm looking for better background pics to take more and better pics of this dio.

Two pics with my new camera. I like the commanders' smile. I've got to do better with the lighting.

Hi Kingtiger,
Looks impressive! Specially the Zimmerit, how did you achieve it this way? very realistic. The groundwork is great as well, the snow comes out real nice.
Keep up the good work, and keep the pic's coming!!
Greetz, John. :)

Hi DRAGONWAGON,
I cannot tell a lie. I used Cavaliers' zimmerit for King Tiger. It was still work to put on and make sure that it looked natural. But it paid off. The snow is Micro Balloons resin. This is basically used as a filler for RC Model Airplanes. If your local hobby shop caters to RC Airplane models it should carry it.
Again thanks for the comments. :)
