G'day Andrew.
Good to see you here.....I'm glad you're building, and the stug IV is all good (it looks excellent).....but where are the pics of your mental fully schick sd.Kfz 234/4?
If possible can you post pics of it up? I'm sure the guys would want to see what an accurate one looks like! ;)
Bill.

:o that's nice...makes me want to make one myself ;) ( I always love seeing all the detail work done before a paint job)
My next IV I want to do is a Dragon Pz IV F-1 that I have set aside and plan to make with the Tristar suspension and some detail sets....I want an interior, but I may have to leave that out as there is nothing for an early IV...hopefully, that'll change since Tristar has their IV D and maybe, like what happened with their Pz I, they will make an interior that I can make for the F-1
Hope to see more posts from ya on this.

Ahh, most excellent!! Welcome aboard Andrew! Now we just have to get a few others to get a vBench here.
As you already know, I am very impressed with the StuG. The back plate gets me every time. :)

The Aber barrel's nice, but it there's a significant difference in length between it and the kit barrel - given some of the recent comments about Aber's attitude towards proper dimensions with their barrels, I'm a little concerned now and am trying to source some good 1:35 drawings to check it out. Just a heads-up before you make a purchase...
By the way, how long ago did you pick up the Tamiya kit and the additonal parts? Just curious - I got myself a Tamiya KV-II as well during this past winter, only to see the test shots of the Trumpeter kit appear within a month. ;)

Interesting - in that case the Aber barrel comes up 1mm too short (which won't keep me awake at night), and about 1.5mm too thin (...) based on those dimensions. Thanks for the info!

Hi Andrew,
as Sam said already, your StugIV looks just excellent! Mud effect is very well balanced, not too much.
Thank you for sharing,
Niko

Andrew,
I just don't know how I missed this update. It's awesome. I really like the texture you have on the mantlet.

AH.
I'm in the same boat as Larry....how did I miss this update????? :(
Mate it looks the schizz, you're really captured that subtle look. Each time I looked I saw something different, the muted camo colours, the touches of primer and mud/dust etc.
Killer.

Hi Andrew,
It's a beauty!!!
I do like your style...Your weathering technique is really...."real" !!!
It reminds me your beautiful Panther A.

Great camo, weathering and I really like those tarps on the fenders. It really gives it a sense of realism.

What a tough stug 4 - love it . I really like you tension springs for the guards.

A reallly nice subtle camo...
It is almost a "transparent" model as it a "whole". You have achieved a complete vehicle and not just a good paint effect.
Less is more!

Mmmmmmmmm, lots of dead-ends around here . So many posts have the dreaded
red x around here.
I wish there was somewhere on the net that collected pic before they get to be x-es .
